Trekking Chachapoyas/ Gocta / Kuelap Tour

3 days/2 nights
Daily Departures Year Round, USD $425.00

Trip Overview

Situated in Peru’s mysterious northern cloud forest, this Chachapoyan trek offers a elite view of the regions highlights. The group will be accompanied by a support vehicle to cover the long distances between destinations. On day 1 set out from Chachapoyas on a 2-hour drive over breathtaking roads and incredible scenery of the Northern Andes. After approximately 3 hours of moderate hiking we arrive at the ancient burial site of Karajia. We encounter 3-meter tall anthropomorphic plaster coffins re-enforced with wood frames located high under a cliff.
On day two our final destination is the base of the newly discovered Gocta Waterfall, verified to be the third largest waterfall on the planet. Camp in the nearby village of Cocachimpa. Day 3 is the most difficult. We begin our 6-7 hour hike to the Chachapoyan archaeological site of Kuelap.

*As on all Adventures to Peru tours, you’re taken care of from beginning to end: Deluxe thermarest mattresses and -5 °C goose down sleeping bags are included!
